Glenda Gay Gibson, age 77, of Scranton, IA, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Greene County Long Term Care in Jefferson.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2019 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton with Pastor Bob McKnight officiating. Casket bearers will be Jerry Boyd, Doug Batz, Mike Gibson, Troy Gibson, Jay Juergens, and Kent Juergens. Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. on Saturday until the time of service.
Born on November 2, 1942 in Carroll, IA, she was the daughter of Forrest and Alice (Loomis) Gibson. Glenda was a lifelong resident of Scranton where she graduated from high school in 1961. Glenda worked on her family’s farm and did babysitting after high school. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Scranton. Glenda belonged to a card club and a birthday club. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and going on bus trips and car rides with friends.
Glenda is survived by several cousins and other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Alice Gibson.
