The Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach office has opened registration for their next commercial pesticide training seminar. This continuing instruction course (CIC) is part of the Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) and focuses on agricultural weed, insect and plant disease management. Topics covered include information on safe handling and storage of pesticides, laws and regulations, personal protective equipment use and pest management. Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) education units will also be offered during the program. Registration is $35 per person if completed on or before Wednesday, Feb. 5 and increase to $45 after this date. In-person registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the ISU Extension office in Carroll with the course to follow from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For more information on the seminar or to register, use the contact points included with this story on our website.
