The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to at least seven motor vehicle incidents over a two-day period earlier this week. Between 9:38 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, law enforcement responded to five separate single-vehicle accidents. No injuries have been reported, but an investigation into an accident near the intersection of 270th Street and Redwood Avenue is ongoing. Authorities say a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, owned by 70-year-old Joyce Davis of Jamaica, had lost control and struck a wooden post. Both airbags deployed, but the driver had left the scene by the time deputies arrived. Two separate individuals claim to have been driving at the time of the accident. Deputies also responded to two accidents on Thursday. The first was a single-vehicle rollover at 330th Street and E Avenue. Thirty-two-year-old Jeffrey Thomas of Coon Rapids had lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet Impala and rolled into the east ditch. Thomas was uninjured, but there was an estimated $1,000 in damage to the vehicle. The final accident was at approximately 9:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of 235th Street. Seventeen-year-old Caroline Kellogg of Grand Junction lost control of her 2007 Dodge Caravan on the icy roadway. Damage to the van is estimated at $500.
