Carroll Library Director, Rachel Van Erdewyk, is reminding library patrons services are still being offered at their temporary location as they await the opening of their new facility. According to Van Erdewyk, they have received numerous calls asking if they are still open, and she wanted to clear up any confusion about library operations.
The library’s temporary address is 425 Highway 30 West, Suite 340 behind Pizza Ranch and between Serendipity Acting Studio and Fastenal. They are open to patrons from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The opening of the newly remodeled library has been pushed back due to delays in the delivery of the building’s elevator. Van Erdewyk says they will still have work to do, even after the elevator is installed.
A firm date has not been established yet for when the new library will open, but Van Erdewyk is optimistic it will be within the next two months. However, she notes that schedule is largely dependent on when the elevator is delivered and vendor availability. The library will continue to operate at its temporary location until they begin the process of moving back into the Farner Government Building.
