Scranton Man Arrested On Drug Charges, Including Intent To Deliver

A Scranton man has been arrested on numerous drug charges, including intent to deliver. The Jefferson Police Department reports they conducted a traffic stop at approximately 7:46 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the 300 block of North Oak Street on a vehicle that had an insufficient number of headlights. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search. An open container with suspected alcohol, marijuana, cash and scales were located and 19-year-old Nicholas Scott Weber was arrested. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver, a class D felony, and possession of alcohol by an underage person, a simple misdemeanor. Also arrested was 22-year-old Jacob Alexander Roby of Boone for first-offense possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia and driver with an open container, both simple misdemeanors.
