Two Arrested In Unrelated Incidents–One Hits A Garage And Another Nearly Hits An Officer With His Vehicle

Two men were taken into custody on Saturday night by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for incidents involving impaired drivers. A deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle at approximately 10:54 p.m. in the 600 block of Main Street in Scranton. That vehicle was found crashed into a garage. Twenty-four-year-old Terry Anschutz of Scranton was arrested and charged with first-offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. The estimated damage to the garage was about $15,000 and the there was an estimated $1,500 in damage to the 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. Just a few minutes later, at approximately 11:06 p.m., a deputy was nearly sideswiped by a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe. A traffic stop was performed and the driver, 50-year-old Craig Knobbe of Carroll, was arrested and charged with first-offense operating under the influence.
