UPDATE–Unofficial Carroll County Results Shows Buttigieg Claiming Top Spot, Followed By Biden And Klobuchar

More detailed results from last night’s (Monday) Carroll County Democratic caucuses have been released. Across the 13 precincts, former South Bend, Ind. mayor, Pete Buttigieg, earned the most support from Carroll County voters with 32.3 percent, earning him 34 delegates. Coming in second was former Vice President, Joe Biden, with 25.8 percent and 25 delegates, followed by Minnesota Senator, Amy Klobuchar, at 19.6 percent and 19, delegates Vermont Senator, Bernie Sanders, with 12.9 percent and 12 delegates, and Massachusetts Senator, Elizabeth Warren, at eight percent and nine delegates. A total of 612 eligible voters participated in the Democratic caucuses Monday evening. Shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Iowa Democratic Party released 62 percent of the results from Monday’s caucus, and party officials are hoping to release the remaining numbers by the end of the night.
