Anita Rose of Glidden

Anita Rose Jones, 85, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.

     Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Community Church near Glidden with Rev. Rick Hamilton officiating.  Music for the service will be by Shelly Brant, Joan Bundt, Josh Bundt, Julie Sulc, Joel Bundt, and Andrew Barnes.   Casket bearers will be Sam Brant, Nathan Brant, Tyler Brant, Eric Garlock, Justin Brant, Mike Armstrong, and Kenny Scholtens.  Burial will be in the Dillavou Cemetery near Ralston.

     Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden from 5 – 7 P.M. on Sunday.  The casket will be moved to Pleasant Ridge Church at 9:30 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until 10:15 A.M.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for Anita’s family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

     Born on June 6, 1934 on her family’s farm south of Lanesboro, IA, she was the daughter of Milford and Ethel (Dillavou) Bundt.  Anita grew up on the farm and graduated from Lanesboro High School.  She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Shriver in Glidden following high school.  She was married to Larry Brant on June 28, 1957 at Maple Grove Church in Greene County.  The couple farmed and raised their three boys north of Glidden.  They were members of Grace Baptist Church in Glidden.  Anita later married Don Jones of Winterset in 1990.  They lived in Winterset for a short time and then moved back to Glidden.  Anita enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, cooking, and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

     Anita is survived by her three sons and their families: Ramon Brant (Shelly) of rural Glidden, Roger Brant (Karen) of rural Glidden, and Bruce Brant (Michele) of Earlham, IA; ten grandchildren; six   great-grandchildren; two sisters: Geraldine Scholtens of Michigan and Joan Mitchell (David) of Maine; four brothers: Duane Bundt (Joan) of Glidden, Romayne Bundt of Carroll, Vernon Bundt (Juanita) of Glidden, and David Bundt (Kathy) of  Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

     Anita was preceded in death by her parents Milford and Ethel Bundt and her husband Don Jones.
