Community Foundation Of Carroll Distributes 21 Grant Awards

The Community Foundation of Carroll County (CFCC) has announced 21 grant awards presented from the County Endowment program, the Community Foundation of Carroll County Endowment Fund and the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation Grant Fund. This includes a third year payment of a multi-year pledge to the Carroll Public Library Foundation and the first of a three-year pledge to the St. Anthony Foundation for their Cancer Center. This year, more than $167,000 was distributed by the CFCC, $101,894 by the County Endowment program, $22,296 by the CFCC’s Endowment Fund and $42,810 from Grow Greene County Gaming. The Carroll County Conservation Board will receive $25,000 from Grow Greene County to be used for the construction of the East Swan Lake Shelter and the Carroll Public Library received $20,000 as the third of five installments. The St. Anthony Cancer Center also received $20,000 while the Halbur Development Corporation was granted $10,000 for safety upgrades and improvements to a park and $8,000 went to the City of Arcadia to complete the interior of their community center. Stephanie Hausman will remain President with Joe Behrens serving as Vice President and Gina Badding as Secretary. The board approved second three-year terms for Joe Behrens, Kevin Milligan and Jon Sturm. Other board members are Laura Lake, Jessica Morton and Kara Havick.

Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation Grant

 

In an awards ceremony scheduled for April 7th at the Wild Rose Casino, the Community Foundation of Carroll County will receive a check for the $42,810.00 grant from the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation. The CFCC Board awarded the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation 2020 grant funds to the following recipients, including the third of five installments of a multi-year grant pledge to the Carroll Public Library Foundation:

         

Carroll County Conservation Board  Construct East Swan Lake Shelter   $25,000.00*

 

Carroll Public Library Foundation    Modernize and enlarge county library (Year 3 of 5)         $20,000.00                            

Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation continues to generously share a portion of the proceeds it receives from the Wild Rose Casino, Jefferson, IA to the surrounding county community foundations. Other recipients include foundations in Webster, Boone, Dallas, Calhoun, and Guthrie counties.

*A small portion of County Endowment funds were used to increase this grant to $25,000.­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­
