Parking on one of Sac City’s busiest roads should be getting a little easier following the council’s approval of a plan that will add up to six spaces on Audubon Street. According to Administrator, Jamie Lawrence, limited parking between 5th and 6th Streets has been an issue for some time and has only gotten worse after the opening of Community Pharmacy. Nearly all the spaces in the business district are aligned for parallel parking, but the ones on the south side of Audubon Street will be repainted at an angle to create the new spots. Lawrence adds it will not cost the city anything extra, as the lines were already to be redone following the road construction in the area last year. He expects the work to take place sometime this spring.
