A Carroll man charged with vehicular burglary and weapons trafficking has submitted not guilty pleas in District Court for Carroll County. According to court records, 26-year-old Marshawn Glen Shaw filed his written pleas last week to second-offense third-degree burglary and control of a firearm by a felon, class D felonies, and two counts of trafficking in stolen weapons, class C and D felonies. The charges stem from an investigation into an incident on Dec. 30 by the Carroll Police Department. Authorities allege Shaw stole a Glock 9mm pistol and empty magazine from an unlocked vehicle on Randall Road and asked two other individuals to hold onto the gun for him. A pretrial conference has been scheduled for Monday, April 20 with jury proceedings slated to begin Tuesday, April 28. If found guilty, Shaw faces up to 25 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
