Parent-teacher conferences for families in the East Sac County (ESC) School District have been moved up a day to avoid interfering with a separate extracurricular activity. Superintendent, Jeff Kruse, says the conferences scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 have been changed to Monday, Feb. 24.
Kruse adds that maintaining a dialogue between parents and instructors plays an important role in student success. He says the switch will allow as many parents as possible to attend the conferences.
According to Kruse, attendance generally varies based on student grade level with parents of younger students being more likely to attend. The Feb. 24 conferences will be from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the respective school buildings. Kruse points out they have not changed the date for the conferences planned for the following Thursday.
