No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in Jefferson Friday afternoon. The Jefferson Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of East Monroe and South Locust Streets at approximately 1:12 p.m. Following their initial investigation, law enforcement determined a 2013 Chrysler Town and County, driven by Cassie Fowler, was traveling northbound on Locust when the van was struck on the front passenger side by an eastbound 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, operated by Sherry Graven. Damage is estimated at approximately $5,000 to the Fowler vehicle and $2,000 to the Graven minivan. Graven was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
