Mass of the Christian Burial for 88-year-old Helen Higgins of Carroll, formerly of Vail will be held at 10:30 am on Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Vail with Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 pm at the church where there will be a Rosary at 6:30 pm followed by a prayer service. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 9 to 10:15 am at the church. Ohde Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of the arrangements. Helen is survived by her 3 children: Mike Higgins of Sioux City; Bill and wife, Sheila Higgins of Arcadia; Kathy Kraus and husband, Brian of Arcadia; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Connie Nieland and husband, Paul of Lake View; and sister-in-law, Helen Leiting of Arcadia.
