Ralph Titus of Sac City

Ralph Titus, 98, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Presbyterian Church in Sac City with Rev. Missy Brown officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with an Eastern Star service at 5 p.m. and Masonic Service at 7 p.m.  A private family burial will be held at the Lake City Cemetery.
Ralph Woodman Titus was born on February 21, 1922 in Lytton, Iowa to Charles and Martha (Anderson) Titus.  He graduated from Lytton High School in 1940.  On September 9, 1943, Ralph married Lela Mae Painter in Bethany, MO and together they celebrated 76 years of marriage. They were married in a double ceremony with Ralph’s sister, Norma and Johnny Berkler. Ralph was a dedicated farmer all his life and after retiring he worked at the Car Wash and Simplot in Sac City. He was an elder and trustee at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton, a past President of the Lions Club, Worthy Patron of Eastern Star, Master of Lodge and 32nd Degree Mason.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Lela Mae of Wall Lake; children Peggy Owen, Linda Potts and Martha (Jim) Potts all of Lake City; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Lois Ihrke of Sac City.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Russell Titus; sister Norma Berkler; brothers-in-law Harlan Ihrke and Johnny Berkler; sister-in-law Lucille Titus; and son-in-law Ron Potts.
