A Jefferson man wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant may now face drug charges after he was taken into custody Saturday evening. The Jefferson Police Department responded to a residence in the 600 block of West Monroe Street to determine if 28-year-old Joshua Jeffery Michael Geigle, who was wanted for providing alcohol to underage persons, an aggravated misdemeanor, was at the property. Upon arrival, officers immediately detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from inside the house. Officers made contact with Geigle, who was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center. Law enforcement then conducted a consent search of the home and located multiple items associated with use of narcotics. The materials were seized and sent for testing. Additional charges against Geigle are pending the return of lab results.
