St. Anthony Regional Hospital has been named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital for the second consecutive year. The Chartis Center for Rural Health releases their rankings annually and uses publicly accessible information to score hospitals based on eight metrics: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, cost, charge, quality, outcomes, patient perspective and finance. President and CEO, Ed Smith, says, “We at St. Anthony are very proud to be recognized as a top performing rural hospital. The dedication and excellent care provided by our staff consistently positions us as the regional leader.” Two other Iowa hospitals, Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake and Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer also ranked as one of the top 100 rural medical facilities in the nation.
