Public Hearing For FY21 Budget And More On Agenda For Monday’s Carroll County Board Of Supervisors Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors have a full agenda planned for their meeting next week. They will begin with a report from Carroll County Sheriff, Ken Pingrey, who will discuss plans for a public elevator at the new jail and the possible purchase of a new law enforcement vehicle. After reviewing an affidavit of possession for the Arcadia stockpile site and approving payables, the board will hold a public hearing on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 budget and proposed taxes. Once the public hearing is closed, they will consider resolutions for elected officials’ salaries and adoption of the budget. County Engineer, Zac Anderson, will then update the supervisors on the secondary roads department, including employee retirements, drains and quotes for a new motor grader. The board will need to canvass the results of the March 3 bond referendum for the Coon Rapids-Bayard Community School District, approve a semi-annual report from Treasurer, Jean Seidl, and review manure management annual updates. The final item on the agenda for the Monday, March 9 meeting is a closed session “to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property.” The supervisors convene at 9 a.m. at the meeting room in the courthouse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. A link to the full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
