A Carroll woman accused of harboring an Illinois fugitive in her home has been scheduled for trial at the end of April. According to Carroll County District Court records, 22-year-old Passion Monique Faint has been charged with accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor. An affidavit from the Carroll Police Department says they were provided information by Illinois law enforcement in early February suggesting Faint was aiding 23-year-old Deamontae Hunter. Hunter was wanted on a nationwide arrest warrant for parole violations stemming from convictions in 2015 and 2017 on weapon and gang affiliation charges. Authorities contacted Faint numerous times concerning the fugitive’s whereabouts and were repeatedly advised he was not at her apartment. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Faint’s residence in the 500 block of East 18th Street on Feb. 7 and took Hunter into custody. Faint’s written not guilty plea was filed Thursday, and her trial is slated for Tuesday, April 28. An aggravated misdemeanor carries a penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines.
