Nine New COVID-19 Cases Identified; Iowa’s Total Now 38

On Wednesday evening, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced an additional nine positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa. Of these nine new cases, three are from Johnson County, two in Polk County, two in Dallas County with the remaining two in Washington and Winneshiek Counties. These latest tests bring the state’s total to 38. A statewide public hotline has been established for Iowans with questions on the coronavirus and is available 24/7 by calling 211 or 800-244-7431. Gov. Kim Reynolds has released several videos explaining the current testing criteria and details about Iowa’s efforts to slow the outbreak’s spread.
