The Glidden City Council has temporarily suspended late fees and non-payment disconnections for utility services. According to Administrator, Brooke Peterson, the council unanimously approved a resolution Monday waiving penalties for overdue payments on electric, water, sewer and garbage bills from the city through April 10. Any pending disconnection of these city services will also be put on hold for the same length of time. Peterson notes these bills are still due and encourages customers to submit payment as soon as they are able. City officials will consider extending this temporary order for April bills and beyond if necessary. Glidden City Hall is closed to the public at this time. However, payments can still be deposited in the outside drop slot or mailed to the address included below.
