First Delivery Of Homemade Masks Made In Carroll On Monday

Meg Snyder, owner of Carroll’s Quilting and Sew Much More, urged area sewers last week to make and donate masks for use by local healthcare organizations and individuals during the coronavirus outbreak. As word began to spread, more and more service organizations told Snyder they could use the masks as well. Snyder even found an anonymous donation of between 10 to 15 pounds of pre-cut, one-yard pieces of polycotton fabric to be used to help make the masks on the doorstep of her shop. On Monday, she made deliveries of 308 masks to St. Anthony Regional Hospital and area nursing homes along with 69 to the McFarland Clinic. However, she says more are still needed. Anyone interested in helping can get in touch with Snyder for details and patterns through the contact points included below. For those wanting to make masks for McFarland Clinic, there is a special pattern that must be used and a link to that can also be found here as well. All masks must be constructed of two layers of pre-washed polycotton or 100 percent cotton fabric.
