Authorities in southwestern Iowa say two people from Minnesota died in a helicopter crash Tuesday afternoon, but little additional information is being released. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office said at around 4:27 p.m., they “Received a report of a helicopter crash in eastern Audubon County, near Hamlin, from the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office.”  Witnesses said the helicopter collided with power lines near 250th and Robin Avenue before flipping over, crashing to the ground, and bursting into flames. A pickup truck traveling nearby was reportedly hit by debris from the crash. Authorities said the accident remains under investigation and no further details will be released until the investigation is concluded.
