Carroll County Supervisors To Discuss Leave Policies During Pandemic At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will continue their practice of hosting their weekly meetings online to comply with guidelines laid out by federal, state and local health officials to keep gatherings to under 10 people. Monday’s meeting begins with a quarterly report from County Sheriff, Ken Pingrey, and discussion on vehicle bids for the department. The supervisors will then consider approval of a single liquor license and a resolution for the destruction of noxious weeds in the county. The board then moves into discussion on the county’s policy related to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave related to COVID-19. The final items on the agenda are manure management annual updates and reports from committees. The Monday, April 6 meeting begins at 9 a.m. and will be livestreamed via YouTube. Individuals can submit questions during the meeting if they have created a YouTube account, or they can email questions in advance to supervisors@carrollcountyiowa.org. The full agenda and ways to view the meeting can be found included below.
