The driver of a semi-tractor trailer was transported for treatment of suspected minor injuries following a Tuesday afternoon accident. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Quartz Avenue and 110th Street, northwest of Lanesboro, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Sixty-two-year-old Rodney Alan Rasmussen of Goldfield was westbound on 110th Street when he says he met a vehicle on the roadway and moved the 2020 Freightliner over to the side, where he hit soft gravel. The loaded truck entered the north ditch and rolled over onto the passenger’s side. Rasmussen was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services. There was an estimated $20,000 in damage to the truck.
