Iowa COVID-19 Cases Exceed 1,000 With 102 New Cases And One Additional Death Confirmed Tuesday

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 102 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional coronavirus-related death have been confirmed as of Tuesday morning. Iowa has now recorded 26 deaths due to the virus; the most recent being an elderly Benton County resident. Iowa’s total number of cases has now reached 1,048 with 78 of Iowa’s 99 counties having recorded at least one since the beginning of the pandemic. Greene County confirmed its first case Monday and joins Audubon, Carroll and Guthrie Counties at one confirmed case to date. Crawford County remains at five cases, and Shelby County is unchanged at six. In their daily update, Carroll County Public Health reports they have administered 68 COVID-19 tests so far.
