The Sac County Sheriff’s Office reports a Schaller man was arrested Thursday evening after he allegedly broke into a bar to steal alcohol. According to authorities, 68-year-old Dean Box is accused of entering Harley’s Bar in Schaller at approximately 9:20 p.m. with the intent to take beer from the establishment. Witnesses at the scene detained Box until law enforcement arrived to take him into custody. He was transported to the Sac County jail and charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. Box was released on his own recognizance after appearing before a magistrate.
