Carnarvon Man Charged With 3rd-Degree Sexual Abuse After Juvenile Found Locked In Apartment

The Sac County Sheriff’s Office reports a Carnarvon man was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after a juvenile female was found locked inside his residence. According to law enforcement, deputies responded to an apartment above the Trailside Bar and Grill in Carnarvon at approximately 4 p.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement met with the juvenile’s mother, who told them her daughter was confined inside 39-year-old Nathan Dale Landrum’s apartment. Authorities allege Landrum initially contacted the victim through Facebook and later had sexual contact with the minor. Deputies executed a search warrant at Landrum’s apartment and seized multiple electronic devices, including tablets, cell phones, hard drives and a PlayStation 4. Landrum was arrested and booked into the Sac County jail, where he was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony, and lascivious acts with a child, a class D felony. He remains in custody on a $15,000 bond and is awaiting an appearance before a magistrate. The Sac County Sexual Assault Response Team assisted in the investigation.
