Many area residents tune in daily at 11 a.m. for Gov. Kim Reynolds’ COVID-19 updates on the status of cases across the state as well as the ongoing mitigation efforts. That press conference, however, will not be taking place today (Wednesday) as the governor is traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Donald Trump and the Coronavirus Task Force about Iowa’s status. They will also be discussing the efforts to reopen the state. The press conferences will resume later this week.
