Iowa’s COVID-19 Cases Up 655; State’s Coronavirus Website Has New Look

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 655 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed as of this (Thursday) morning, bringing the state’s total to 11,059. State health officials also identified 12 additional coronavirus-related deaths, marking 231 deaths to date. Gov. Kim Reynolds announced during her press conference there have been some changes to the way data is displayed on the coronavirus.iowa.gov website. Previously, there was a delay of more than 24-hours between the time a case was confirmed to when it appeared in the state’s data. Reynolds says they will now be reporting cases in a timelier manner with numbers announced during her press conference reflecting the previous day’s data from 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. Additionally, coronavirus.iowa.gov now allows for Iowans to sort information by county, date and region. As for case numbers in the listening area, Calhoun County remains at a single confirmed case, Sac stands at two and Carroll County confirmed its sixth case Thursday morning. Audubon County is unchanged with eight total cases, Guthrie is up to 32 and Crawford County has climbed to 124. For more information on COVID-19 in Iowa, follow the links included below.
