The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 843 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since Friday, bringing the state’s total to 12,373. Twenty-eight additional coronavirus-related deaths were identified during the same period, marking 271 deaths to date. Ninety-three of Iowa’s 99 counties have recorded at least one confirmed case since the beginning of the pandemic. During her press conference Monday, Gov. Kim Reynolds implied she will be allowing further restrictions to expire at the end of the week and plans to release additional details on what this may look like during Tuesday’s press conference. As for case numbers in the listening area, Calhoun County remains at a single confirmed case to date while Sac County added its third case over the weekend. Carroll County stands at six, Audubon at 10, Greene at 13 and Guthrie County at 35. Crawford County remains the hotspot in the region with 191.
