Lake View city officials announced today (Monday) they will begin their semi-annual hydrant flushing procedures later this week. Starting Wednesday, May 13, crews will be traveling throughout the community and releasing water in order to dislodge sediment or other materials that have accumulated within the water mains. The work is expected to conclude Thursday, May 14, dependent on weather conditions. This process may result in rusty or tea-colored water. While the discolored water does not pose any health risks, residents are asked to avoid doing laundry during this time to avoid staining clothes.
