Two Separate Greene County Traffic Stops, Two Drivers Facing OWI And Drug Charges

A Jefferson man and Bayard woman are facing operating while intoxicated and drug charges following two unrelated traffic stops over the weekend. The Green County Sheriff’s Office pulled the first vehicle over at approximately 4:42 p.m. on Saturday on 237th Street near Kirkland. Twenty-four-year-old Nickalos Andrew Brown was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, an aggravated misdemeanor, and excessive speed. Suspected marijuana was located after an officer detected the pungent odor emanating from the vehicle. A small amount was located and seized for testing. Future charges are pending. The second traffic stop occurred at approximately 1:36 p.m. Sunday at the juncture of U.S. Highways 30 and 4. Forty-year-old Teresa Ann Turner was arrested and charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, both serious misdemeanors, and possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to obey a stop sign, all simple misdemeanors.
