More Relief Grants Available For Iowa Arts And Cultural Entities

The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs (IDCA) announced they will be re-opening the Iowa Arts and Culture Emergency Relief Grants program immediately and will accept new applications through Tuesday, May 26. These latest grant dollars are coming from both the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. They are intended to help continue cultural projects, preserve jobs and keep doors open at thousands of cultural organizations that boost the economy and creative life of communities across the nation. The Iowa Arts Council will administer the grants in collaboration with the State Historical Society of Iowa. They will work together to align each grant award with the intended purpose of the federal funding. Grants of $1,000 to $20,000 will be available to museums, historic sites, preservation and historic societies and community and cultural organizations that have been in existence since March 17, 2017, have a 501(c)3 nonprofit status and have annual operating expenses of $10,000 or more for the most recently completed fiscal year.
