Director of Parks and Recreation, Jack Wardell, brought forth a proposal on the use of 10-punch cards for the 2020 Carroll Aquatic Center season. He says there are simply too many unanswered questions right now about whether or not they will have a swimming season, and if they do, what it will look like.

These uncertainties could directly impact the amount of passes sold for this season. Wardell outlines how the punch-card system would work.

This would be a short-term, one year only offering at this time. In the event that pools are not allowed to open, the cost of the punch cards would be refunded. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says they have received calls from the public who have seen work being done at the Aquatic Center. He stresses they are absolutely not allowed to open until such a time as the governor lifts closure mandates. However, it takes about three weeks to prepare the pool, so they are doing that work now in the event restrictions are loosened or lifted altogether. At this time, they are hoping the state will allow them to be up and running in some capacity by Friday, May 29. The fees and costs for other admittance options can be found below.
