Facebook Video Of Carroll Seniors Honoring Class Of 2020 Seniors Goes Viral

Another touching video on the St. Anthony Garden View Assisted Living of Carroll Facebook page is going viral with nearly 5,000 views as of Wednesday morning. Director, Kari Nuzback, says the idea for a special way of recognizing two of their employees who are high school seniors came about pretty organically.

She says Alexis Hahn and Mason Janssen are more than just employees to the residents at Garden View.

Staff members gathered gowns and hats were made and a Senior March throughout the assisted living facility was designed to honor them. Hahn and Janssen were told they needed to come in for an in-service and they were surprised at the door. Hahn is graduating from Kuemper Catholic High School and is going to pursue a degree in nursing. She says she thought it was just another typical work day.

This, Hahn says will be something she will never forget and can’t wait to tell her kids someday about how such a special memory was made in these trying times. Janssen is a Glidden-Ralston senior and a recent Carroll Broadcasting High Five award winner for exemplifying the six pillars of character in and out of the classroom. He says he was just expecting to go to a meeting, but when they brought out the caps and gowns it didn’t take him long to figure out what was happening.

Janssen adds he was touched by the entire event. The viral video from Garden View can be found below.
