The City of Carroll announced today (Thursday) they will be opening the pool at the Carroll Rec Center tomorrow (Friday), but it will be very different from their usual operations. In accordance to Gov. Kim Reynolds’ proclamation on Wednesday, the pool will be available for exercise purposes. Hours are limited from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 12 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on weekends. All users must be 18 years old to enter the pool unless accompanied by a parent. The lane area is restricted to 12 people at any one time with a maximum of two swimmers per lane on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to four water walkers will be allowed in the shallow area of the pool. If capacity is reached, workouts will be reduced to 30 minutes. Restroom availability will be limited, and locker rooms are to remain closed, so swimmers are asked to enter and leave the facility while wearing their swimwear. City officials encourage all users to practice physical distancing. Pool availability times and usage guidelines are subject to change.
