Breda Telephone Company, Inc. (BTC), doing business as Western Iowa Networks (WIN), has announced they will be acquiring a Nebraska-based telecommunications service provider. Only limited details are being released at this time on an agreement between BTC and Spiral Communications of Nebraska City. The cash transaction is expected to close June 15, pending approvals and conditions on closing. BTC CEO, Jeff Roiland, says they are excited about offering service in that area. “We look forward to investing in and partnering with these communities, while providing the customers with top quality service for many years to come.” President of Spiral Communications, James Gapinski, says they expect this transaction to be a benefit to their customers. “Western Iowa Networks is a local company with a proven track record of providing exceptional service to customers in rural service areas like those serviced by Spiral Communications.” The Spiral Communications service area spans throughout southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. WIN will be offering high speed broadband and voice communication services along with managed Wi-Fi, managed IT and numerous business communication offerings.
