The Carroll Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred in a closed car lot between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. They were notified of damage to a driver’s side door on a 2020 Dodge Ram parked on the Wittrock Motors sales lot on U.S. Highway 30 W. at approximately 8:59 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was struck sometime between the dealership’s closing on Tuesday night and their opening the next morning. Authorities say they suspect the vehicle they are searching for will have front-end damage.
