The Sac City Council has released the agenda for a special meeting tomorrow (Friday) morning to discuss several COVID-19-related and time-sensitive items. Administrator, Jamie Lawrence, says many of the community’s summer events have not been postponed or canceled yet, and the council hopes to clear up some of the uncertainty surrounding those activities.

Currently, Chautauqua Days are scheduled for Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5. According to Lawrence, it appears those events will likely still be held but will look very different from normal.

City officials will then briefly consider the approval of a bid from Fort Dodge Asphalt to complete repairs on Gishwiller Street. Like many communities in the area, Sac City has not opened their aquatic center for the season yet, and Lawrence says they will hopefully have a more definitive answer following Friday’s meeting.
