Following a meeting of the IKM-Manning Community School District administration and the junior class sponsors on Thursday, a decision on cancellation of prom was announced. Hopeful that the COVID-19 outbreak would have passed by that time, they had set a tentative rescheduled date of June 20 for that event. However, following the most recent recommendations and guidance from Gov. Kim Reynolds, the Iowa Department of Education and the Iowa Department of Public Health, the two groups determined that it would just not be feasible to host prom this year.
