Carroll County Public Health has confirmed another positive COVID-19 case, bringing the total to 12. Of these 12 cases, nine have fully recovered. Health officials are reminding residents that as more and more businesses, organizations and activities are opening up, it is still important to take precautions against potential exposure. People are still being encouraged to stay at home as much as possible, especially the elderly and other high-risk individuals. When you are out in public, you should maintain that six-feet of social separation and wear a mask if that is not possible. Also wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Testing in Carroll County is available by appointment at St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Manning Regional Healthcare Center and the McFarland Clinic. As of 9:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, the coronavirus.iowa.gov website was reporting a total of 647 individuals tested in Carroll County with a 1.9 percent positive rate. In the broadcast area, Crawford remains the hotspot with 528 positives followed by Guthrie at 53 and Sac, which is now reporting 20 positive cases. Greene County has 13 and Audubon 12 while Calhoun County reports three total positives. Deaths in Iowa have risen by 34 since the same time Monday morning and now sit at 558. Positive test results for the state are now at 19,951, up 282 from this same time yesterday (Monday). The state is reporting that of those positives, 11,541 have recovered.
