The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting that as of Monday morning, 606 people have died from COVID-19 in the state. This includes the first reported death in Carroll County on Friday, two deaths in Crawford and one each in Greene and Audubon Counties. There have now been 21,794 cases of the virus confirmed in the state since the outbreak began, with 12,828 recovered. New area totals as of Monday morning now have Carroll County reporting 17 positive cases, Crawford at 573, Guthrie at 55, Sac 31, Greene and Calhoun 14 and Audubon 13. For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, it can cause more severe illness.
