A name that has been frequently in the news lately as area businesses seek assistance in managing their way through the COVID-19 pandemic is now in the news again, being recognized for those outstanding efforts. Kimberly Tiefenthaler, Regional Director of the North Central Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Carroll and Fort Dodge, has been named the 2020 Iowa State Star by their national organization, America’s SBDC. Tiefenthaler, who has served as Regional Director since 2017, received the award for her exemplary work performance and significant contributions to the organization’s economic development efforts and her strong commitment to small businesses. A special ceremony and presentation is expected to take place at a later date.
