WIN Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For New Operations Center In Carroll

Western Iowa Networks (WIN) officially celebrated the start of construction on their new facility in Carroll this (Monday) morning with a formal groundbreaking ceremony. WIN announced earlier this year they were moving forward on an approximately 37,000 square foot building near the intersection of Market Street and Kittyhawk Avenue. CEO, Jeff Roiland, says this project will allow them to bring their key employees together at a single location by this time next year.

He adds a centralized location for the company’s operations has been on the board’s agenda since he took over as CEO in 2017. With Roiland at the helm, WIN has steadily expanded their offerings and service area, both locally and in southwestern Iowa. Broadband internet access is limited in many rural areas, and Roiland says they have been actively expanding to address this issue.

WIN has consistently been a strong supporter of the communities they serve, and board member, Mike Schwabe, says they are excited to continue that tradition where they are today and in the communities they are tomorrow.

Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, says businesses and communities cannot flourish in the modern world without high-quality internet and providers have become just as essential as any other type of public service.

Site preparation got underway in May. WIN hopes to be operating out of the facility in June of 2021.
