Harlan At Kuemper

Harlan 5

Kuemper 2

Kuemper struggled to string together hits and a late rally came up short as the Knights fall to 1-1 on the season. Harlan used a 3 run 4th inning to go up 4-0. Kuemper was only out hit 8-6 but Harlan took advantage of extra base runners getting walked 5 times to just once for Kuemper. Harlan defense was sound as well with just 1 error while Kuemper finished with 3. The Knights didn’t play poorly but were out executed by a Harlan team that was fighting to not start the season 0-2.

Luke Hicks and Kyle Berg each had 2 hits, Truman Haukap and Sam Poland added the other base hits.  Kuemper was able to score twice in the 6th inning.

Kuemper takes Wednesday off before heading to Coon Rapids Bayard on Thursday.
