A Coon Rapids woman has been charged with assault after allegedly biting into another woman’s hand. Carroll County District Court records show 27-year-old Marne Marie Irlbeck was issued a summons to appear on one count of assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor, by the Coon Rapids Police Department on June 11. According to law enforcement, the incident occurred at approximately 9:21 p.m. last Thursday in the 700 block of 6th Avenue. Authorities claim Irlbeck attacked the victim and bit her, causing injuries severe enough to require a trip to the hospital. Irlbeck’s initial hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13. An aggravated misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines.
