Sydney Haakenson allowed just 3 hits and 6 baserunners while striking out 10 as the Tigers picked up their first win of the season. The win moves Carroll to 1-2. The Tiger offense got big nights from Hannah Jorgensen, Josie Ayala and Chloe Gallegos who all had 2 hits. Gallegos and Ayala doubled and had an RBI, Jorgensen and Ayala scored twice. Ashley Onken continued her nice start to the season with 2 RBI.
Joanna Freese, Emily Kerkhoff and Bianca Cadwell had hits for the Wolves in the loss which drops them to 1-2 on the season. IKM-Manning heads to Missouri Valley on Thursday.
Carroll will host Bondurant Farrar on Friday.

Glildden Ralston moves to 2-0 while Ar-We-Va falls to 1-1 after the Wildcats scored 14 runs during a 3 inning stretch from the 3rd to the 5th. The Wildcats put 15 hits on the board and had 5 girls with multi-hit games. Vanessa Koehler and Macy Snyder led the Wildcats with 3 hits each, Madi Barrus had 2 hits, Morgan Koehler had 2 and Kim Daily finished with 2.
Ar-We-Va had taken a 6-0 lead after scoring 5 runs in the top of the 3rd. The Rockets did it with just 6 hits but again were patient at the plate and worked out 12 walks. Sara Schurke led the offensive attack with 2 hits while Kora Obrecht and Jamie Hausman each walked 3 times.
Glidden Ralston answered the 5 run 3rd with a 5 run bottom half of the 3rd then added 3 runs in the 4th before opening the game up with a 6 run 5th inning.
The Wildcats will return to action on Friday at Boyer Valley while Ar-We-Va heads to Boyer Valley on Monday.

East Sac falls to 0-3 on the season with a road loss on Wednesday. The Raiders hit the ball very well on Tuesday were limited to just 6 hits with 5 of those singles by the Jaguars. Josie Bontrager, Meredith Brown, Maty Quirk, Mary Bontrager and Bree Boeckman all had singles with Boeckman adding a double. Meredith Brown drove in 2 runs in the 3rd and Quirk stole 4 bases on the night. The Raiders scored a run in the 1st inning and added 2 more in the 3rd.

South Central Calhoun hit the ball very well as they moved to 2-0 on the season with both wins against conference foes. The Titans collected 15 hits, 7 walks and 2 hit by pitches. Brielle Korleski led the team with 3 hits while Sally Musselman, Sam Fister, Kierra Hammen, Halle Maulsby and Madison Schultz each had 2 hits. Musselman drove in a team high 4 RBI, Maulsby and Schultz added 3 RBI.
The Titans scored 2 runs in the 1st, added 9 runs in the 2nd inning and put the game away with a 6 run 3rd.
The Titans head to OA-BCIG on Thursday.

Katelyn Nielsen put on a show at the plate for Audubon with 4 hits helping the Wheelers move to 2-1 on the season while Coon Rapids Bayard dropped to 0-2. Along with Nielsen, Audubon had Leah Subbert who added 4 RBI and Johanna Sauers had multiple hits. The Wheelers got things rolling in the 2nd inning with 5 runs, then added 3 more in the 3rd.
Coon Rapids Bayard fought back in the 4th with a 4 run rally but didn’t score again until the 7th. Emma Hart led the Crusaders with 3 hits and an RBI, Alexa Culbertson had 2 hits. Cassidy Baker added 2 runs scored.
Kali Irlmeier picked up the win and Emma Hart the loss. The Wheelers will play at Underwood on Thursday. Coon Rapids Bayard is back in action Friday at Exira-EHK.
