Two Juveniles Charged After Caught Spraying Graffiti On Jefferson Overpass

On Thursday, the Jefferson Police Department filed charges of fifth-degree criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor, on two juveniles. The charges stem from an incident on Monday, June 15. The department was notified at approximately 3:53 p.m. that two juveniles were spray painting graffiti under the overpass. An office responded and caught the 10- and 11-year-old males in the act. The charges were not levied immediately as a report of the dollar amount of damage was needed to determine the degree.
