Bus Fire At Grand Junction Casey’s Was Quickly Extinguished

It only took about 10 minutes for a bus to sustain severe damage in a fire at the Casey’s in Grand Junction on Thursday. Greene County Sheriff, Jack Williams, and the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:47 p.m. to find the bus, privately owned by Merlyn Tucker of Jefferson, on fire in the lot. Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the blaze and there was no resulting damage to the Casey’s property. The cause of the fire is believed to be a bird nest that had been built around the exhaust.
